The Karma clearly has the best side/angled profile view, although I like the look of the Aston head-on vis a vis the Karma (looks less cartoonish!).

I concur.

My family tree isn't quite as large, but it's got the same genetics:

I was thinking that with Henrik's Aston Martin background, it would be interesting to see the visual differences between their 4 door sedan, the Rapide, and the Karma. The local Aston dealer that is 2 blocks from my home was happy to oblige:
![[Image: Rapide.jpg]](http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb438/dennismacSF/dennisFiskerKarma/Rapide.jpg)
![[Image: Karma.jpg]](http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb438/dennismacSF/dennisFiskerKarma/Karma.jpg)
![[Image: RapideFront.jpg]](http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb438/dennismacSF/dennisFiskerKarma/RapideFront.jpg)
![[Image: RapideThreeQuarter.jpg]](http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb438/dennismacSF/dennisFiskerKarma/RapideThreeQuarter.jpg)
![[Image: rapideRear.jpg]](http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb438/dennismacSF/dennisFiskerKarma/rapideRear.jpg)
My observations:
1) While an attractive car, the Rapide is much more conservatively styled than the Karma, and not nearly as dynamic looking.
2) The Karma is wider and lower. Although the Rapide looks shorter, it is actually 2 inches longer.
3) Looking at the rear of the car, IMO the Karma's wider hips make it look more like the Vanquish than the Rapide does.
4) The greenhouse on the Rapide is very short and the beltline much higher. I like the Karma's taller greenhouse and more interesting beltline.

Dennis
Good work! Now on to the Maserati and Porsche dealers!!! (half joking =)
Would be cool to see the nearest competitors in a line up...

Dennis, that's a great summary and excellent side by side comparison. The Karma smokes the Rapide in every way on the exterior. One fact you mentioned that I didn't expect was that the Rapide is longer. Doesn't look like it at all. I agree that the Karma has more striking lines, bolder styling, etc. Rapide looks like a Camry compared to the Karma!

Wow! Thanks for doing this! It's great to see the side-by-side comparison. The Karma looks much more exotic and special. Before the Karma, I thought the Rapide was the best looking 4-door... but the Karma even makes the Rapide look like an average car. Quite an amazing accomplishment for Henrik and team.

I find the looks of the Rapide rather disappointing. The Aston at the top this thread, though, looks better than all the others, from any angle.
